More good news...We switched Maggie and Ashlynn to a new eye doctor at the beginning of the year. He changed Maggie's prescription and started her eye patching her good eye for 3 hours a day. At her checkup this week he said she can now read one line smaller with her lazy eye which is 20/20 vision! He also said the patching is working so well that her eye is straightening out. Hooray! I feel so blessed that we found this doctor and switched when we did. Maggie is approaching the age when her eye will remain like it is for the rest of her life-for better or worse and he's thinking by the way things are looking its definately for the better. The one good thing about it is we won't have to worry about losing vision in that eye. Hopefully, we can get it to straighten out and strengthen those muscles so that will be permanent too.
